If you have a mailing list, please add me to it. I would like to attend this event.
Will do! This will put you on the list for hearing about our other events and club meetings too.
Is there any sort of special registration form you need to fill out to attend the anime festival on may 9th? I only found out about it yesterday from a person who knew some people I ran into at the Toricon the other day, and my friends and I are dying to go cosplay as the Akatsuki there since we had to leave the Toricon early! Does it have a registration fee, or is it a free for all?
There is no registration form. Tickets will be available at the door at $10 for the day. We’re still working out if we can get advance sale tickets, so be sure to watch the news page. We just posted up hours and parking details today. We look forward to seeing your cosplay! I was at Toracon myself (I’m the Button Lady, you might have seen my booth in the Vendor’s hall.) Being in the Vendor’s room I missed getting to see the masquerade there, so I’m looking forward to seeing lots of cosplayers on the 9th! I’m glad to see word is spreading about Anime Syracuse.
Oi! I’m so glad this con is going to happen this year! I’m so going to it! I’m going with the amazing Naruko that went to Toracon… I would have went to Toracon, but I got sick. D: Anyways, mind if I advertise this on my myspace and other places so more people hear about it? I hope a lot of Naruto cosplayers will be here! -Crosses fingers.-
Yay! More cosplayers! Yes, please feel free to advertise all you want! We’d like to get the word out as much as possible about the event.
All right! I will! Are you guys going to make any posters of this? Or would you mind if I did? I could post it on my Deviantart page and tell other people to add one too. xD
Where is North Syracuse Public Library Located?
The North Syracuse Public Library is located at 100 Trolley Barn Lane, N.Syracuse, NY 13212. It’s in the village of North Syracuse between Rt 11 and South Bay Road.
We do have some posters and half sheets designed. Here’s the half sheets! I’ll see if I can get the poster up tomorrow.
Is there an age restriction for this event (the festival)? My daughter, she is 13, is really into anime, and I think would love this. I would go with her.
There is no age restriction. While we made sure that none of the titles we’re going to air have excessive adult matieral, opinions can vary pretty widely on age appropriateness of anime. Some of the titles we’re playing have violence and maybe a little swearing. We’re going to post a schedule later today, so you might want to review them to see if there is anything you might object to.
I just heard about this from a friend of mine who doesn’t even like anime. perplexing. I’m definitely excited, I hope I can attend!
So two friends of mine, my Mother, and I are coming! I was just wondering though; will there be other activities besides watching AMVs, animes, and the Cosplaying copetition? I mean, like are there any sale tables or other competitions? As a suggestion for this or future events, it might be fun if there was some sort of a compitition between cosplayers of rivaling anime/mangas like Naruto and Bleach. I heard that at the Toracon on April 25th, (which I wasn’t around long enough to witness this.) they did a human chess match of anime characters vs. game characters… I’m not sure how complicated it was but it sounded like fun. Then I know that some people like doing photo-shoots with other cospalyers… or like, they act out a scene from the anime/manga. Then there could be quizzes on how well you know the series or character from the series… I don’t know, I’m just rambling off any ideas I can think of just in case someone didn’t think of it yet and could remember it for future reference.
OMG! This is my first con ever! im bringing my 2 bffs! Were all 11 and cant wait! CLAMP IS THE AWESOMEST ANIME/MANGA COMPANY THINGIY EVER! I CANT WAIT!Can you buy cosplay there? Or other stands for suveniors? My bro saw the camerical on adault swim and he told me about it and i went nuts (lol). We might cosplay even,my friend ema is dying to do it even though she wont admit it! X3
Yes - cosplay is welcome! For more details see the Screenings page. We’ll see you there!
I like to watch Dragonball and One Piece, thanks for sharing this article. BTW found this site on google, searched for some anime informations.
Crap, I forgot..Is there any way to submit AMV’s to be viewed at an event?
Will anime be shown in english dubbing, or Japanese with subtitles?
At club, it depends on what is available. Generally we go for dubbed, but in some cases a dub is not available. For the “Scary Stories” event I believe all titles will be shown dubbed.
I sent you an email, Raptor-Desu!
Would it be all right to wear Cosplay form Square Enix? What I mean By that is can we be a person from Final Fantasy or something?
