Sophie McNutt
Sophie McNutt has worked at FUNimation Entertainment in the marketing department since 2003. Starting out managing Operation Anime, FUNimation’s anime club program, Sophie then took on various duties including brand management, convention promotion logistics, and new anime research. In April 2009 Sophie became the Community Lead for ShoDojo, FUNimation’s Anime Video Community website. She continues to research new anime for FUNimation to acquire, manage Operation Anime, and operate FUNimation’s new Anime at the Movies program (previously known as Anime at the Alamo).
The 404s Improv Comedy Group

“The 404s” are launching a Canadian Invasion! They bring with them their own version of improvised comedy with an anime twist! This travelling comedy troupe has performed their hilarious, interactive, unrehearsed comedy show across Canada creating sketches and scenes based on audience suggestions and direct participation. The 404s are very excited to bring their unique comedy stylings to the Anime Syrcause Festival – and remember, audience participation is mandatory! Brion Foulke creator of Flipside
Brion hails from Chicago, Illinois and is the creator of the Flipside comic! Flipside is a comic about two women, sexy Maytag, a jester with split personalities and her kind, but fierce, bodyguard Bernadette. It’s a romantic fantasy adventure with a lot of action, and a small dose of horror. It’s updated three times a week online and the first four volumes are available for purchase. Brion will be in the Dealer’s room most of the day and have a panel shortly after the dealer’s room closes.
Mario Bueno

A fan of Japanese Animation since 2000, convention attendee since 2001, and cosplayer since 2002, Mario Bueno has come a long way since he was first formally introduced to the medium! With a background in stage and screen, Mario is an award-winning cosplayer and vocalist whose performances have made a splash throughout the world thanks to the power of the internet. He has appeared on Anime News Network in their 2007-2008 news webisodes, produced/appeared in his 2005 fan film “Final Fantasy vs Kaiju Big Battel” and web program “Doujinopolis,” and appeared in numerous FUNimation Blog segments as Son Goku. Recently, he also became the first male AX Idol Singing Winner at Anime Expo 2010.
