2011 Festival Panels

Do you have a passion you want to share? Do you have a hobby that you’d like to introduce others to? Do just want to talk about all your favorite parts of your favorite anime?

Then you want to run a panel or workshop! Download and submit this form by August 19th to get on the schedule. Panels are juried & reviewed (we don’t want to have 5 Hetalia panels ^_^). If your panel is accepted you will be contacted no later then September 1st.

The over-the-top choices in your favorite anime are just a small part of an actor’s arsenal.  To demonstrate the more subtle aspects of performing, join Michael Brady as he performs Orson Scott Card’s short story, “The Porcelain Salamander” with the permission of the author.  Card described this fable as one of three stories that together summed up what he was trying to say as an author, and it has been reprinted numerous times.  No recording devices please.

The Various Types of Anime Parody

This 56 Minute presentation will categorize and show samples of the various types and styles of parody done with Anime from studios to fan works.  Categories include:  Movie Trailers, Still Captioning, Super Deformed, Made-Up Subtitling & Dubbing, TV/Movie Scenes & Opening Theme parodies, Crossover [Mixing Things That Don't Belong], AMV Parody Songs, Large Fan Projects, and Mixed Plus!   Brief Questions period at the end.

    Yup! A schedule of all events, including panels will be provided with the program book. There will be signs outside of each room with a list of events going on in that space as well.
